Abuse Prevention of HelloServer Hosting Services
HelloServer is committed to promoting responsible behavior in connection with its services, respecting the rights of others, and requiring the same from its users. To ensure that rights holders can effectively protect their rights and address any misuse of HelloServer services, each HelloServer entity has implemented a comprehensive abuse handling policy.
While HelloServer cannot fully monitor how customers or end-users use its services, we take misuse seriously. If you believe that HelloServer services are being used in violation of our policies or applicable law, or if your content has been used in a way that infringes upon your rights, you can submit an abuse notification to the relevant HelloServer entity. The procedure and requirements for submitting abuse notifications are outlined below.
The HelloServer Abuse Prevention Team ensures a prompt response to all received notifications. The team is available 24/7, handling abuse reports efficiently throughout the year.
Abuse Notification Submission Guidelines:
To ensure your abuse notification is processed efficiently, please follow these guidelines:
- Format: Submit your notification in plain text.
- Language: The notification must be in English.
- Contact Details: Do not use a NO-REPLY email address. Include your name, address, telephone number, and email address.
- IP Address: Reference the IP address where the reported content is located or from which the reported activity occurred. This IP address must be assigned to a HelloServer company.
- URL: Reference the static URL where the reported content is located or from which the conduct occurred. The URL should resolve to an IP address assigned to a HelloServer company.
- Multiple IPs: Submit separate notifications for each IP address. Only include one IP address per notification.
- URLs or Domains: Include only the URLs or domains in your notification that are relevant to the reported issue.
- Description: Provide a clear description of the content or activity you’re reporting and explain why it infringes upon your rights, violates applicable law, or breaches our Acceptable Use Policy.
- Trademark Infringement: For trademark issues, include the registration details (including the registration number) of the infringed trademark.
- Copyright Infringement: For copyright issues, include a description of the copyrighted work being infringed, as well as a copy of the copyrighted material or a link to where it can be found.
- Hacking, VoIP/SIP Scanning, (D)DoS, and Malicious Software: Provide details of illegal activities, including the date and timestamp, the IP addresses involved, the destination and source ports, and any relevant log files.
- Keywords: Include one of the following keywords in the body of your notification: [Child abuse] [Live streaming] [Copyright] [Trademark] [VoIP/SIP] [Phishing] [DDoS] [Spam] [Hacking] [Malware] [Gambling] [Zoophilia] [Defamation] [Personal Data] [Photos of Persons].
DMCA Notices for HelloServer:
For Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) notices, the following additional requirements apply:
- An electronic or physical signature of a person authorized to act on behalf of the owner of the copyright allegedly infringed.
- A statement that you have a good faith belief that the use of the material in question is unauthorized by the copyright owner, the owner’s agent, or the law.
- A statement affirming that the information in the notification is accurate, and under penalty of perjury, that you are the copyright owner or are authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner.
Abuse Prevention Process:
Our dedicated Abuse Prevention Team will review all notifications and take appropriate action. Upon receiving a valid abuse notification, our team will investigate the matter and notify the relevant customer if necessary. In some cases, it may be more efficient, or even required, to contact the end-user directly regarding the abuse report.
